In the book "Austins of America", page 286, found at The Austin Families Genealogical Society, it is projected that William was born 11 Apr 1754 in Ireland. The writer of the book seemed certain that this was the William Austin who married Elizabeth Vaden. I mention this not as solid proof, but as a point of reference for those who are researching the Austin family (Charlie Vines - Site Administrator). Austin William (Williamson)

Williamson is listed as being born in circa 1807 in "Austins of America", page 286. This would coincide with his birth date as most censuses were taken earlier in the year that his birth date. Charlie Vines - Site Administrator. Austin Williamson

"Austins of America", page 286 states that Willis died on 19 Jul 1858. Austin Willis

"Austins of America", page 286 states that (based on 1850 US census) Wilson owned 180 acres on Lick Creek in Macon County, Tennessee. The book also states that he was still living there in 1857 when he sold 83.75 acres and a 'parcel' of slaves to F. Brown for $125.00. Austin Wilson

In the Johnson Family Bible Record, Wilson is listed as being born 1 Nov 1799. Austin Wilson

In the federal census of Chesterfield County in 1870, Ann S Flournoy is a 67 year of widow living with her oldest son, Seth. She is unableto read or write. Is she related to the other older woman in the household, 75 year old Mary W. Moore ("Domestic Servant," Illiterate)? When Ann Flournoy died of "Paralysis" at the age of 70 (which would give her a birth date of 1805-1806), the death was reported to the Powhatan County Clerk by Edward Rudd, identified as a friend. (He had married her sister.) His listed her parents as Staunton and --- Blankinship and said she was born in Chesterfield County. (From the notes of Laura, keyesperry@aol.com)
