My wife's line runs back from:

-Claude Hartwell Vaden (g-grandfather), b. 1882 Gibson Co. TN, d. 1951 Hunt Co Tx
--Robert Wylie Vaden (g-g-grandfather), b. 1848 Gibson Co. TN, d. 1912 Jones Co. TX
---Delaney Dodson (D D) Vaden (g-g-g-grandfather), b. apprx 1801 VA (most likely Chesterfield Co), d. 1858 Gibson Co, TN
I am 90% sure that D D is a descendant of Henry Vaden (the immagrant), but I have not been able to find the direct link.

A L Vaden and L C Unknown, parents of Luster G Vaden
Luster's tombstone states that he is the son of A L and L C Vaden.
Loucrecy Vaden's tombstone states that she is the wife of A L Vaden.
Luster and Loucrecy are both buried in Colbert County, Alabama. I believe Loucrecy is Luster's mother.
At familysearch.com I found an Alexander Vaden and a Louersa Hall married 27 May 1882 in Colbert County, Alabama.
In the 1900 census of Chickasaw, Colbert County, Alabama, I have found Alie and Lueretia (ancestry.com's index, reads Lucretia) Vaden with child Wiley C Vaden. Lucretia is listed as born Dec 1860 (Loucrecy tombstone list birth as Dec 19 1859. The census data for Lueretia also stated that she had birthed three children of which only one still lived. If Lucretia is Loucrecy, the Luster is one of the two children who died. I don't know who the other one would be at this time.
I found Alexander and Wiley C Vaden in the household of Rubin S Vaden in Haywood county, TN. Alexander is listed as Rubin's brother and Wiley as his nephew. Alexander is also listed as widowed (Loucrecy died in 1907).
I want to confirm whether Alex Vaden and Louersa Hall are A L and Loucrecy C Vaden.
Any help would be appreciated.

Vaiden/Vaden in early virginia with a Perrin connection.
I received the following from Carolyn Brittain. I do not have anything on these folks, so I thought I'd post this here. If anyone has information, please let me know and I will forward this to Carolyn
I am desended from Isaac Perrin of Hanover Co. Virginia. He had a son named Vaiden (or Vaden) Perrin, b. in the 1760's. I've found an Isaac Vaiden in either New Kent or James City Co., Va.around 1700. We do not know Isaac Perrin's parents' or grandparents' names but think there were both a Samuel and a Joseph somewhere along the line. Our thought is that Isaac Perrin's mother or grandmother was a Vaiden, given that he was named Isaac and he named a child Vaiden. The reason we don't think it was Isaac's wife (whose name we don't know) who was a Vaiden is that there was also a Vaiden Perrin born in TN in a yet to be connected branch of the Perrins who went out there from Va.
So, I was just wondering what you know about the early Vaidens in Va. I found a Vaiden in early parish records at a little library in Montpelier, Hanover Co., Va. and under his name was the birth of a baby named Catherine. I became very excited, because Vaiden Perrin had a sister name Catherine. It turned out under further inspection that the baby was born to a Vaiden slave.
This request came from Carolyn via e-mail exchange.

Lois Gay Vaden, Daughter of Fred Walter Vaden and Viola Bell Salmon
In the Texas Birth Index, 1903-1997 on ancestry.com, there is a Lois Gay Vaden who is married to Billy Vern Roan in the 1950's. The had three children, Richard, Vickie, and Sonja. A Lois Gay Vaden marries George Leroy McDonald and they had two children (again according to the Texas Birth Index, 1903-1997), Johnny and Viola (born 1960 and 1965 respectively). I believe this is the same Lois Gay Vaden. Lois' death certificate list her as a McDonald and her parents as Fred Walter and Viola Bell Vaden. So I am confident that I have the right McDonald/Vaden marriage. I need confirmation that Lois was married before George and if so, did Billy died or was there a divorce.
